倒装 (Inversion)
定义
将句子的正常语序（主语 + 谓语）颠倒为（谓语/助动词 + 主语）的结构。
类型
完全倒装 (Full Inversion)
整个谓语移到主语之前。
部分倒装 (Partial Inversion)
只将助动词/情态动词/be动词移到主语之前，主要动词位置不变。
一、完全倒装
1. 方位副词/介词短语置于句首
结构：方位词 + 谓语 + 主语（必须是名词）
例句：
- Here comes the bus.
- There goes the bell.
- In came the teacher.
- On the wall hangs a picture.
注意：主语是代词时不倒装：Here you are.
2. 表语置于句首（强调表语）
结构：表语 + be + 主语
例句：
- Gone are the days when we were young.
- Present at the meeting were Professor Smith and his wife.
3. such/though 引起的倒装
例句：
- Such was his anger that he couldn’t speak.
二、部分倒装（重点）
1. 否定词/半否定词置于句首
否定词：never, seldom, rarely, hardly, scarcely, barely, little, few, not, no, neither, nor, not until, not only…but also, hardly…when, no sooner…than
例句：
- Never have I seen such a beautiful sight.
- Hardly had he arrived when it began to rain.
- Not only did he speak correctly, but he spoke easily.
- Not until yesterday did I know the truth.
2. only 修饰状语置于句首
例句：
- Only then did he realize his mistake.
- Only by working hard can you succeed.
- Only when he returned did we find out the truth.
注意：only 修饰主语时不倒装：Only he knows the answer.
3. so…that / such…that 中的 so/such 置于句首
例句：
- So fast does he run that I can’t catch up.
- Such was his strength that he could lift the box.
4. 虚拟条件句省略 if
结构：Were/Had/Should + 主语 + …
例句：
- Were I you (= If I were you), I would go.
- Had I known (= If I had known), I would have told you.
- Should it rain (= If it should rain), we would cancel.
5. as/though 引导让步状语从句
结构：表语/状语/动词 + as/though + 主语 + 谓语
例句：
- Child as/though he is, he knows a lot.
- Hard as/though he tried, he failed.
- Try as/though he might, he couldn’t solve it.
6. so/neither/nor 表示”也/也不”
例句：
- He likes music, so do I.
- He doesn’t smoke, neither/nor does his brother.
7. not only…but also 连接并列句
例句：
- Not only is he clever, but he is also diligent.
